The Impressive “Dre Flip”

We will from time to time present tricks from the sport of Flowboarding.  One of those tricks is the “Dre Flip” (aka “ARS”).  Our understanding is this trick has roots in Australia (the top three videos in this post are of “Aussies”).  It is a trick based from a bodyboard and resembles a back flip.  It is not for the faint-hearted and should only be tried by riders with plenty of experience.  You can count on several “faceplants” while learning this trick!  Just don’t land on your head.

Like many tricks, you will notice in the videos below there are variations between riders.  Several competitive riders now use the “Dre Flip”.  Here are some good videos we could find.  Most of these riders are present or past FLOW Tour competitors.  We invite you to check out their videos to see other impressive moves.

As mentioned earlier, expect a few face plants along the way.

Finally, like me, if you lack the talent to do a Dre Flip……there is always Photoshop.  This pic is quite fake (my son got carried away and even put three of me in the crowd).   🙂
